Get Involved
You get the most out of your BCOA membership by getting involved. We offer a variety of exciting opportunities for you to lead and to serve your profession. Join our Executive or Board of Directors (officers and regional directors) to make your voice heard and to represent your colleagues. We also have committees, sub-committees and special initiatives that could use your expertise including the Wait Time Project, the Tariff Committee, the Communications Sub-committee, as well as representatives working with the Specialist Services Committee, WorksafeBC and the Economics Committee. Other opportunities to represent our membership occur at the regional health authorities and your local hospitals, and on provincial and national committees through the Doctors of BC and the Canadian Orthopaedic Association.
Membership Dues
Annual dues are payable upon receipt of renewal notice from Doctors of BC. All members are sent a renewal notice covering DOBC dues, plus dues established by the BCOA. BCOA dues are established by the Board of Directors and ratified by Members at the Annual General Meeting. *Please note that BCOA membership is by annual subscription and is non-transferable. Membership dues are non-refundable. If you have a special circumstance, please give us a call.
