The Orthopaedic Research Day will be held at the Paetzold Auditorium at Vancouver General Hospital on May 1, 2019. This all-day event will feature presentations from Residents, Fellows and Graduate Students.

The Orthopaedic Update will be held at the SFU Morris J. Wosk Centre for Dialogue in Vancouver on May 2-3, 2019. This year's theme explores the "Evolving Concepts in Orthopaedics". Presentation topics include management of polytrauma and complex injuries, strategies for joint preservation and optimization, primary and complex joint reconstruction, reconstructive challenges involving the upper extremities, complication avoidance and management, physician wellness, as well as many more.

The BC Orthopaedic Association (BCOA) will hold their annual meeting in the afternoon on May 2, 2019 as part of the Orthopaedic Update. Following the meeting there will be an on-site social. Registration not required for BCOA members to attend the AGM and Social.

The UBC Department of Orthopaedics banquet will be held at the Shaughnessy Golf and Country Club in the evening on May 3, 2019. Join us for an evening to celebrate the graduates of 2019, as well as give recognition to the award recipients.
